The committee is composed of board members and resident stakeholders.

The committee is charged with the responsibility of developing a database of all DBEs within the district, Metropolitan Monroe, and within Senate District 34.

In addition, the committee is charged to produce a commercial real estate market report. The report will list and categorize DBEs physically located in Districts 3, 4, and 5.

The committee will develop ways to assist DBEs to participate in private and public procurement activities, inclusive of the development of a minority procurement disparity study.

It will also develop and promote ways to train and retrain workers, as well as promote adult DBE training.
